Sustainable Amphibian Conservation of the Americas Symposium II
ECUADOR - Summer - 2015
On behalf of SACAS, we would like to extend this warm invitation to you to attend the 2nd biennial Sustainable Amphibian Conservation of the Americas Symposium. This event is open to the public and welcomes participation from any and all of the following: amphibian enthusiasts, researchers, zoo professionals, students, amphibian conservationists, as well as frog lovers of all kinds.
This event will consist of 3-4 days of lectures and presentations featuring a dozen researchers, biologists and other professionals associated in the field of amphibian study and conservation. Additionally, there will be an exciting and interesting field trip included as well as a variety of optional tours offered after the event which will leave you with a comprehensive understanding of why sustainable amphibian conservation is so important.
Sustainable conservation organizations from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama or other countries will be represented.
The location in Ecuador has been chosen in part due to its close proximity to the Wikiri Project and also because its rain forests offer access to some of the most diverse biotypes and amphibian densities in the world.
The main force behind this Symposium is to act as an exciting and educational fundraising event for conservation organizations like the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center, WIKIRI of Ecuador, Tesoros of Colombia, and two yet to be named organizations within this theme. Your participation by attending this Symposium will positively influence these conservation efforts as a result of your contribution.
